The successful applicant will play an important role in the financial and accounting operations of our dealerships, working closely with the Financial Controller and management team.This is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of $80,000–$90,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience. <h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>Salary of $80,000 – $90,000 per annum + superannuation, commensurate with qualifications and experience;&nbsp;</li><li>Full-time permanent employment;&nbsp;</li><li>Opportunities for professional development and career growth;&nbsp;</li><li>A supportive and collaborative working environment; and&nbsp;</li></ul>&nbsp; <h3>Task & responsibilities</h3>Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful applicant will be responsible for:<ul><li>Supporting the Financial Controller in the day-to-day financial management and accounting operations of the dealerships;&nbsp;</li><li>Managing and performing accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable;&nbsp;</li><li>Processing daily banking transactions, customer refunds and pay-outs;&nbsp;</li><li>Completing month-end accounting processes through to Trial Balance and ensuring financial reporting deadlines are achieved;&nbsp;</li><li>Preparing and maintaining bank, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations;&nbsp;</li><li>Preparing and assisting with the analysis of financial and management reports;&nbsp;</li><li>Reviewing financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records;&nbsp;</li><li>Conducting reconciliations and assisting with internal financial audits;&nbsp;</li><li>Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning;&nbsp;</li><li>Monitoring financial performance and identifying discrepancies or areas requiring investigation;&nbsp;</li><li>Assisting in ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial controls and regulatory requirements;&nbsp;</li><li>Identifying and assisting with improvements to accounting systems, controls and financial processes; and&nbsp;</li><li>Working closely with the Financial Controller and management team regarding the financial performance and accounting requirements of the dealerships.&nbsp;</li></ul> <h3>Qualification & experience</h3>Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this position, applicants should have:<ul><li>A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline;&nbsp;</li><li>Relevant professional accounting experience;&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in an automotive dealership, retail or similar commercial accounting environment is highly regarded;&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrated experience in month-end accounting and Trial Balance preparation;&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and general ledger reconciliations;&nbsp;</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel;&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Titan DMS or another dealership management system is highly regarded;&nbsp;</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work accurately and meet financial reporting deadlines;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team; and&nbsp;</li><li>CPA/CA qualification or progress towards a professional accounting qualification is highly regarded.&nbsp;</li></ul>
